Other nearby communities, also of the Ngabe originary people, which are at short distance from Quebrada Sal, are Popa 2 (Sandubidi), Bahia Honda, San Cristobal and Solarte.
The village structure consists of several houses with wooden walls and palm leaf roofs, the typical Ngabe architecture, the primary and secondary schools, the school lunch room and the project hut.
The main occupation of its inhabitants is fishing, agriculture and subsistence farming, with tourism being a growth activity and an economic complement for the families of the village.
To get to Salt Creek (Quebrada Sal) take a boat in Bocas del Toro and after about 30 minutes, after entering through dense mangroves, you will arrive at the community pier.
